Microsoft Data Center Located in IL.Welcome to my site. Some of the things you will find are my resume, which of course is the most important. I wanted to provide a place for people to come and look up information, but also to be a source of information related to my field of study. You will find software reviews, links to software, knowledge base, and articles that I have written.

One thing that has come to my attention for the last couple of years, is the amount of Open Source Software. Similar to this one that is running my web site. Most of the software that I use is, in fact,Open Source software. I have also written a paper on it and will post it soon. Companies can save a lot of money in using the Open Source software in their business because it will reduce the cost of purchasing software. On average for a Microsoft Office Suite, you would pay about $400.00. With Open Source the cost is $0. The best thing is that if you need support, you can purchase a support agreement for maybe half or less then you would pay for proprietary software. The community of Open Source Software are also there.

Ideal Career

When looking for a job, I am looking for a company that I can grow with make a difference. That is willing to support me in continuing my education in the field of Information Technology. My co-workers would describe me as someone who tried to take care of everyone with their computer problems. Ensuring that the problem is taken care of and not left with just a ticket closed. When I work for a company I believe that Information Technology is not a 8 to 5 job. People work from home or all the time to meet deadlines. I am always willing, when available to help them. Even if it means taking time out after hours or from home. When problems arise, I am willing to work to solve the problem.
